Mina and Jisung are running an errand
by Garam Im

Before I started my final project, I talked with my 5 years old cousin. He said that he was not happy because his new sister would be born soon. He thought she will take all the love from parents. I started thinking about what I did with my brother when we were young – I spent my childhood with my him and it was precious time.
So, I would like to let my cousin know that a new sister can be a best friend rather an enemy.

My final project is inspired by my beloved poetry book, Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur. I have chosen to illustrate poems from each chapter of the book that resonated with me and my emotions. Through these illustrations I aimed to offer a journey of self-empowerment, passion, both love and self-love, healing and realisation through an abstract, yet relatable understanding. Therefore, my illustrations became my personal reaction to the poems, rather than conveying what they mean conventionally.

Digital Intimacy
by Austeja Baublyte

Here is the implicit message of digital intimacy – the idea that we stay interconnected through a digital platform regardless of whether we prefer it to be that way. In a fast-paced, social media orientated world we show affection and intimacy through inside jokes, reminders and general conversation via a screen.

Sherbs
by Jamie Taylor

‘Sherbs’ is a series of magazine covers depicting an adolescent view of my hometown Sherborne. Traditionally a historic town, known for its 8th century abbey and potentially more historic people, I wanted to paint a picture of a more youthful town, the one I see.

Who Am I?
by Jessica Baylis

I wanted the story for my book to focus on a realistic issue and talk about a situation that many find themselves in; not knowing what you want to be, who you are, or where you fit in is something that everyone goes through in their lives. If you ever find yourself asking “Who Am I?”, remember that you are YOU, and that’s all you need to be!

Vilnius
by Austeja Bukauskyte

Being born and raised in Vilnius, a city with an amazing, yet not that well known to the foreign public party scene, I wanted to create my own nightlife guide; one that features places with specific atmospheres and audiences for different tastes or moods. the map fits well into your pocket as a go-to on a night out and also doubles as a poster, for you to remember the eccentric characters of Vilnius.

American Beauty
by Martha Causier

My project is an artistic response to the 1999 film ‘American Beauty’. I find this film very powerful and visually interesting, so I wanted to illustrate moments that reflected the main themes of happiness, family, love, sexuality, beauty and identity.

스물 둘 (Twenty-two)
by Hyun Hwang

The twenty-two project is a travel journal styled illustration book, based on a 63-hour train journey that I took across the USA when I was 22 years old. I describe and illustrate what I saw, experienced and thought about during this long train ride - and hence bring back my 22 year old self.

Kunsah’s family attempts to escape North Korea during the postwar period but they all got shot and dead except young Kunsah himself and his younger brother Shinsah. Unluckily, on the process of escaping, Kunsah loses his brother as well. About 14 years later, when they become an adult, Kunsah and Shinsah meet each other as an enemy.
My name is Sook Cho and I’m from South Korea. I love to watch crime, profiling, mystery programmes. Furthermore, I am interested in psychopath serial cases and serial killers itself since I was 13 although I have a weak stomach.
